I selected few estate agents from FindAProperty website and offered them to market my property for letting.
Eventually, out of all the very zealous ones that was able to provide tenants with clean records through Home-let vetting agency, Home Traders had the best of tenants.
I eventually gave them the go ahead to let the property. That was the last time I heard from the owner.
I later discovered that he took the rent and deposit from the tenant. He did not put the tenants deposit into any Deposit Scheme as mandatory by the government. He did not forward the rent either.
Neither the tenant nor myself heard anything from him till the end of the month, when he was trying to collect another rent from the tenant. He never reply any calls from either the tenant or myself throughout the month.
The tenant being aware that he has not paid the rent to me challenged him and he disappeared of the phone again, knowing that the tenant is now aware.
I have informed both Zoopla and FindAProperty, the two main renowned websites that he is using as a front. One of them made a prompt investigation and blocked his account while the other was reticent.
Please inform anyone that is doing business with this company or the owner as he will try another name to be aware. I discovered he has changed his number couple of times and his trading name also.
