They are trying to get money off me, which i disagree with

I do not owe money to paypal, they say i do, i sold an item, was payed via paypal, customer was happy, what is the problem, i am closing my bank account that is linked to paypal; and ebay, its a swindle 2 companies, how can i owe them, i do not owe them, they are trying it on. they say and send emails ll the time, i am totally sick of it,
