As a regular customer of ASDA on on line, I purchased my Xmas shopping and booked one of the few remaining delivery slots Sat 19th december 7 - 9pm

It didn't turn up. The driver called to say that due to bad weather he would not be able to make it, but we would get a call on Sunday and they would arrange to drop off the shopping.

Sunday morning, we heard nothing. I rang customer services to be told that they had cancelled the order and they could not arrange a delivery until after 27th December.

I rang the store, head office and back to customer services. All to no avail. The upshot was, if they don't want to deliver they wont deliver.

I asked if they would pick my order so I could collect from them. The answer is NO, they are very busy.

Luckily I can drive to a store and pick up my shopping. This could be a disaster for someone elderly or without transport. It would be evem worse if my delivery had been scheduled for 23rd or 24th December. We would have had to scrape something together for Xmas dinner

We will no longer be placing our regular order with ASDA
