I joined Bannatynes gym in january in milton keynes where i am a student, i told them i live with my parents in York during the holidays and was told it was fine to use the bannatynes gym there during my weekends and holidays in York. I was told by a member of staff called michael that the only gyms i could not use would be the ones in central london as they are more expensive, i said that would be fine. my membership is £42 per month which for a student is alot. when i went home for the summer in June and tried to use the gym in york for the 1st time and was told i couldnt as it is on a different price band even though i had made it quite clear that joining in milton keynes would only be done if i could use the york branch.i feel that just to close the sale i was told the wrong thing on purpose. i have made many phone calls to york and milton keynes, rang and e-mailed head office with no reply and now have to pay for the months of june-august £50 or £55 if i want towels, which i thought i had already paid for in my £42 membership at milton keynes. i feel that as im a sudent they are just fobbing me off as im young but this is alot of money for me and i just want the membership i was told i had signed up for! i have heard that the member of staff who sold me the membership has now been fired as he's had other complaints against him but they still wont take responsibility.
