My husband phoned the gym today wanting to cancel our gym membership, as i have had to give up my job because we are expecting a baby and i can no longer do that job, so we are a wage down (which was used to pay for our memberships) they informed us that we are not able to cancel our contract as they said we knew it ran for 12 months, we explained that i was pregenant and that we could no longer afford it, but this was not an acceptable reason to cancel it, so they would rather take for their membership fee than our baby to have the things that it will need.

They said we could buy the rest of the membership out for £150 but we are not in the position to do that with baby bits to get. we both think that they are being unfair, we said that we would just cancel the dd but they said they would go to any lengths to get the money. THEY JUST DINT WANT TO HELP ANYONE ONE.

When we signed up 2 years ago how could we have forseen that we were going to have a baby. ITS JUST PATHETIC ON THEIR PART, JUST DONT WANT TO HELP, AS LONG AS THEY GET THEIR MONEY THATS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT.
