Ayme Education advertised in a local paper here in Ohio. A young lady called the number listed and was told that for $59.99, Ayme Education would mail her a disk containing companies in her area that were looking for people to do data entry work at home.
She called our company. We are a consulting company, we do not do any data entry and had not approached Ayme Education for any type of data entry work, nor had Ayme Education contacted us.
Apparently they've taken some phone numbers out of local phone books and in some cases, according to the young lady, made some numbers up.
The phone number that was listed has been disconnected and this young lady was unable to return the disk to get her money back.
I'm entering this report because I feel as though my company was made an unwilling participant in this scam and I hope that by filing this report others will not pay $59.99 for a useless disk.
