I was recently job searching on a regional job board and came across this. At the top was the Genentech logo with a job posting for a Typist-Data Entry work from home position. The pay was $35 per hour.
So, I did what I always do, I googled it. I found nothing to indicate it was a scam (which is why I'm filing this report). I even tried calling Genentech to see if this was legit, but I had to sit through recording after recording and kept getting disconnected so I quit trying.
Feeling there was a chance this could possibly be a legitimate posting, I did what the ad asked me to. I e-mailed my resume to [email protected]. This is the response I recieved:
