UK And World Wide the pro's and con's of working for them

After reading through many reports it amazes me how accurate and similar our complaints are. Even in Australia it is exactly the same. ring the bell. dance music. fake happiness! you get the picture.

I actually still work work for the group and after only 3months with the life changing opportunity I have decided to leave and enter the place that is forbidden. the real world. (hence my name not left on this report).

Lets face it remember when you were in a morning meeting 'the bells' being read out the 100's the odd 150 's and then the 70 & 60's this is all brainwashing and every extra day in their world makes the real world seem like a land of underpaid, negative, future lass hell!

The morning meetings seemed amazing at first but they have turned into a modern version of Nazi Germany, positive Hitler youth ready to die for he good of the Organisation!

Just some tips for guys who may still work for Cobra;

The money they read out take 30% off and keep it off because you wont ever see it, ever! I know very few people who have ever got a decent bond return, the only person who has is a mate of the owner and a PR (personal recruit) of his, how convenient! In fact my re-hash has always been 5-10mins long, always double check my URN's and all paper work, the customer knows exactly where they stand and what's happening.

Somehow when the bond hit 800 9 people rejected from nowhere, it went back down to 80! I was told "yea this happens you see, a backlog of rejects since you started, check your URN's etc we will work on your Re-hash next week."

My re-hash was fine and they never worked on my re-hash. When your sales or your strokes of commission go up, rejects will usually start creeping in! Be careful.

If you get 'negged out' don't worry you are human, this kind of sales is tough, its hard sell and more often than not is bull! Take time out if you need it and think normally, its not healthy pushing yourself too much. Most people are young working for Cobra, wondered why? either the life expectancy is very low at Cobra or generally older people know better!

Take progression with a pinch of salt as these can be empty promises and under paid extra responsibilities!! I have a team of 4 people, I really enjoy being a leader, however we are expected in earlier 9am app, to pay for their travel when they are new, their food when they are new and basically give them sales to build their confidence! no extra benefits or rewards for team leading, great for confidence and skills but, a strain to the mind, body and bank account!

Sorry to say it your job could have been filled by a retarded monkey had it applied!! I am not the only one to agree that they were hand picked from hundreds of applicants for this amazing 20000-30000pa OTE once in a lifetime job. The next day I saw more people on OB (2nd interview) days, as a leader I take out 2 or 3 a week (pay for them!) and yea they get the job! I mean I have taken some retards out there. I am not saying we are retards but they are hard sales people generally without any morals that run these companies, they find it easy to lie.

Is it door to door sales or is it direct residential marketing? do we work stupidly long days or are we lucky to get this free training? Is spending money on new guys a cost or an investment?

Try not to listen to the big shot stories of success to much. Yes people have made some great money in the company and fair play to them. but take real life examples in the offices you work in as your real examples of the normal cobra employee.

If you think you can make it by all means go for it and good luck, just don't sell your soul along the way. They will promise you the world i.e Mike Blaine's house..who will be the next one to make millions, you are being pushed for leadership/assitant ownership, you are guaranteed to make 500 plus a week minimum. They will choose there words wisely in Cobra and make normal jobs seem like the wrong choice!! It's a clever form of brainwashing, evil no doubt but its worked. They keep on about goals because without goals in this job you will remind yourself of how much of a crap job this really is, in Cobra terms its translated to that person got 'negged out' and lost his attitude... easily replaced.

Every one will at some point leave the Cobra Group- FACT! whether as a FR, Crew Leader or an owner we will all hopefully see the light. Take the good things with you, anyone who has worked there would have picked up bags of confidence, good sales training and probably public speaking. some great things to have achieved.

At Cobra we work our bodies to the bone, ask yourselves for what??
work out your average hours you get into the office and then get back. your average earnings then work out your per hour rate. take away the bond etc. then take away tax at I think 17.5%. then remind yourself the expenses you have like food and transport. I think you will find Cobra have got a pretty profitable system going and we are the working force be-hind it.

I get told daily the company will grow with or without you, they know that 99% of people will quit, they also work the LOA (law of averages), people get re-placed every day. Good leaders and FR's branded as weak, negative and not worthy of this golden opportunity. Cobra have their system once you break out of it - its game over!
