I am writing to you to express my true disappointment on the unhelpful service received at your Thamesmead leisure centre. I regularly visit this centre, as it is my local gym, and on tuesday the 13th I was not allowed inside your facilities because I could not produce my membership card ( as I could not find it that night ). Many times, regularly, people had found themselves in similar circumstances and have been let in by searching and uploading the member' s details on the reception's computers. However that night there was a new rule, where it was stated that I either produced my card or buy a new one for £ 2.10 . I had no money on me and coukd not buy one and it seemed to be a real hassle having to search my details as the '' new rule '' was in place and they were not ' allowed'. I explained that it was the first time it had happened to me and for that occasion maybe they could have gone an extra mile to provide customer satisfaction. That was denied too!
As a result I was sent off! I was betterly disappointed by the way I was treated and by the fact that I could not train that night.
I pay a joint membership of £ 70.00 a month and have been doing so for more than a year, and the idea that after being a member for so long, and not been recognised or helped in this occasion, really upset me.
I feel angry for the unhelpful service received after so long! A new card should have even been produced for free to your trusted members!
I ve been considering cancelling my joint membership, unless you can redeem the standards of your customer service satisfaction through your next reply to this email .
