I purchased a digital photo-frame off this site in January and after reading an article on the Guardian Capital Letters page checked my statements and found I had been charged £19.95 for the last 4 months as a subscription to their club. The only reference to this charge was in about paragraph 28 of their 12 page Terms and Conditions document. Trading Standards in Dorset where the company are based are less than helpful. The question I would ask is if this is a legitimate operation and, in effect, I have told them that I love their site so much I'm prepared to pay £19.95 just for the privilege of shopping with them, why haven't they been in touch with me to encourage me to buy from their site - emails, letters, telephone calls telling me about latest bargains etc. In the 5 months I've been a member of their club I have had absolutely no contact from them which I think confirms that all they are interested in is keeping as low a profile as possible while they quietly help themselves to cash in my account.
