Mikro Anvika
Breach of Sale of Goods Act

In Mid Oct i purchased a Samsung laptop RV711 from Mikro Anvika Croydon. Within 1 week it crashed, within the first fortnight it crashed 3 x and regularly since then. (the blue screen of death). The computer is an absolute dud, not fit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act. I alerted the shop within weeks and even took it in to the store, where they looked at it and said that because they couldn't identify the problem, they couldn't fix it.

When problems persisted, i again contacted them and explained the product clearly had an inherent fault and was unfit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act: the principal statutory right of which is that it must be fit for purpose and if not, and i am inconvenienced as a result, they should provide a replacement product.

They refuse to do this, citing their store policy of the retailer's right to inspect the product - and possibly charge me for the repair! What an absolute impudence. It is clear this product has an inherent fault. Furthermore, I need the laptop for work, yet they expect me to cease business and lose earnings and dclients while they take weeks to 'insepct' it.

It's impossible to reason with the store as the manager doesn't understand that STATUTORY RIGHTS AS PER THE SALE OF GOODS ACT CANNOT BE OVER RIDDEN WITH THEIR DAFT STORE POLICY.

Think twice before buying from this store, the warranty is not worth the paper it's written on. This greedy business refuses to fulful its legal obligation under the sale of goods act. It guess they don't know how fast news of BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE travels. You've been warned.
