My granddaughter bought from Asda, Wakefield, three packets of fruit teacakes. I found that they were labelled 'best before 21 Jan. This was yesterday's date. The teacakes were very brown, rather overcooked, to start with. They were very dry and leathery, unfit to eat. I phoned the store, and got no apology or satisfaction. The bakery manager said that they always offer for sale the teacakes over the marked 'best before' date. What do you feel about that?
