Disgaceful tretment

Went to get refund at comet yesterday faulty laptop bought for £400 15 days previous . flickering all the time last one bought ex display model, i believed that under the sales of goods act 1976 i was entitled to refund or replace at the store but manager michael oneil told me to take it up with manafacturer to which i disagreed then told me hes told me his policy if i dont leave he willl phone the police! to which i said go on then as i had not raised my voice, acted aggressive or confronted any member of staff he then left me standing at the till while he went round his colleagues pointing and laughing at me too which inside i was burning with anger kept cool and collected until police arrived they quickly seen i was not aggressive in any way just wanted my right to refund and standing my ground in a non confrontational manner, they totally empathised with my position but had ask me to leave as the manager had requested all this in front of my wife and kids who were relly upset with thinking their daddy was in trouble and causing me to be totally humiliated and embarresed as he laughed and sniggered with his cronies.it took all my powers not to wrap him over the head with the nearest object which happened to be a toastie maker!!! i got my refund today after assurances from the manafacturer but the manager wasnt in the store but im really angry about this and want him reprimanded for this, i will never shop at comet again. kevin notman.
