Brought a dish washer in June took out extended warranty, it stopped working 1/1/10 so contacted comet services who arranged for an engineer to come out on 11/1/10, when he arrived he couldnt find out what was wrong thought it was the motor so arranged for some one else to come 2 weeks later to fit parts. 2 weeks later after taking more time off of work the engineer arrived for an am appointment opend the parts and discovered some where missing so had to go off to get them, he arrived back that day at 4.30pm so i had beenwaiting all day for the repair to take place, when he looked at the dish washer he said that it wasnt the motor it was the water filter so he couldnt mend it sd didint have the part so waould arrange for some one else to come out that following saturday. well nobody turnt up on the saturday so called comet who said that we sahould have been informed the day before that no one was coming but they had forgotten to call!!! Another wasted day. Finally this saturday gone and engineer arrived at 6.15pm and worked on the machine until 8.15pm then decided it couldnt mend it and we would need as new one!!! We have know been told before we can have our new machine we have to wait for a letter from the insurance company to say the machine has been written off then we have to go to a comet store to arrange for a new machine to be delivered. Yes we have to do all of this ourselves not comet arranging for a replacement machine to be delivered. This whole process has so far taken 7 weeks and we still have no dish washer what was the point of taking out an extended warranty it would have been cheaper to have gone out and brought a new machine with all the time we have had to take off work and phone calls. And after talking to other people it seems we are not the only ones who have had this kind of problem it happens all the time. I for one will never buy any thing from comet again.
