I had my car battery checked by one of the employees at this shop on fri 03/02 who told me he could not find a correct nomber for his tester of my battery so he used a halfords own. This told him my battery was on its last legs so i asked for the price of a new one, which was £84 00 would you believe! Well i dont part with that sort of money on a 03 fussion, so i drove round the corner to another similar supplier in victor st who had no difficulty at all in identifying my battery checking it for holding its charge and cell quality and also checking my alternater before giving them both a clean bill of health. Looking back i cant help but think both the young men in halfords where looking a bit sheepish, mayby it was just the price of there goods or had they been trying to hoodwink me i dont know. I asked the price of a replacement baterry at motorworld where i went the second time and the price was £39.99 a little different from halfords. I thanked him for his honesty and friendlyness and promissed him any future buisness from me and anyone i can point there way... mr humphrays
