I advertised our grandsons disabled minibus and was contacted by this person, he wanted to pay and extra 1600 over the asking price so we could pay the courier company. He stated he could not get to get the vehicle himself. When we phoned him on the mobile number he supplied he said it was such a lot of money as he was shipping other stuff as well on the way. He said a bank cheque would be received 'Next week' but he needed to getthings done quickly.
We was a little disturbed as he wanted to trust us, complete strangers with that amount of extra money, so looked up the address on a UK search engine. Low and behold the address could not be traced. I then typed in the address and came up with this report site, showing that the address had been used for a scam before.
I have warned the free ad web site of what this guy is trying to do, and am waiting for their response. I also contacted our local police as to our mind this guy is trying to commit fraud like he did with another of your site users.
Has anybody any more great ideas for wrecking their nice little earner and scamming money off people. If we had been elderly or disabled (is this what he was thinking as it was a disabled bus we were selling) and that we would be easy targets.
