I was on flight BA59 on 4 jan 2014 from london to cape town. Seat 50E. The seat in front of me had a passenger in it and it was broken. It tilted all the way back, crushing my legs and making it impossible to sit upright. The whole flight I had to sit in a twisted position. I reported this to the air steward. He agreed the seat in front of me was broken and requested the passenger not to tilt her seat back. She kept on doing it and this caused fights between us. Again I asked the air steward to assit, as it was becoming increasingly uncomfortable to sit in this twisted position. His response was there was nothing he could do and just left. After the flight I again reported the problem to another attendent. I am furious for paying 800 uk pounds and not even able to sit upright. And the attendends just shrugging me off as if this is a regular occurrence????
