Indian High Commission UK
Visas

A warning to those seeking Tourist Visas to India from UK.

Beware of corrupt, deceitful and moronic employees - a story you cant make up:

a) fill on online forms

b) get the forms printed, signed

c) indian high commission requires a stupid 2 x 2 inch photo (unique to indian high commission)

d) take photos

e) then visit the indian high commission only to be told that because you work in Media, you need additional letters from your employer - because they are afraid you will carry out media or media related work while being a tourist!!

f) get letters from employer

g) go back to the indian high commission who then refuse to accept the letters from your employer because they are addressed to "to whom it may concern" and not the indian high commission

h) get new letters from the employer with the appropriate address

i) visit the indian high commission again, only to be told this will take time to process

j) get a phone call 2 days later that they need letters from your employer - because they fucking misplaced the letters and will not admit it

k) they read off a script stating "you will have to resubmit your application with the appropriate paperwork and letters"

Enter a shop in Southall and a man offers to fast track the application if he is offered £175 per passport, and provides a guarantee.

...in the mean time, you miss your flights... and they're too late to change or refund.

Welcome to the stupidity of Indian High Commission - who are trying to imitate the USA in attempting to appear 'exclusive' and special by making it harder to obtain entry. Reality check!

If you work at the Indian High Commission, you've lost your humanity, sanity, and morals.

Rather spend my cash in the UK after all - especially given the amount of cash you need to bribe officials with.
