My mom was SCAMMED by this company. She searched on internet for UK VISA and IMMIGRATION.
This company came up first with the actual 2 government sites in 2nd (www.ukvisas.gov.uk) and UK Border Agency (www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk)
She just wanted to speak to the Emabassy to see what she required in order to arrange a visitors visa for a week. Well this company did not give her the right advice at all and all came out once you pay their UPFRONT fee (this time it was £360 for a £76 visa) - apparently this would cover Legal Fees - now what legalities would there be for a Visitors Visa. Off course they were very helpful and immediately phoned her back all the way to South Africa from the UK. Well, I say helpful, until she paid them the money, then all the other fees come out. She then tried to phone them, but the phone number either just rings or it sounds as if it is disconnected.
So all I can say, is go with caution. First go to the UK government sites and see what is needed. Most of the times there is enough information on there, as they are up to date and very good. The second step would be to contact the embassy in your own country first. They might be able to refer you as well.
NEVER PAY MONEY UPFRONT, YOU LOOSE YOUR LEVERAGE AND ONCE YOU PAY IT YOU WILL FEEL IT IS BETTER TO KEEP PAYING TO TRY AND SEE IT OUT.
My fears were confirmed once I read all the too similar stories on here, after a single complaint - it was almost as if they were trying to undo a bad complaint by flooding this site with good ones. If they just left it alone it would have been less obvious, because a single persons' complaint is not so strong as your own efforts to exonorate yourself.
I will probably find that after this complaint the site is flooded again with good ones
