I found a very good deal on the Canon XL1-S camera on amazon.com. Tried e-mailing [email protected], who suggested me we used escrow-id.com as transferral service. I okay-ed this, naive as I am... BUT, I never transferred the money, as this was sunday. Monday I was too hung up at work to make it in time, and when I logged on tuesday, the site no longer existed (see this report: http://www.usaconsumercomplaints.com/reports/ripoff90761.htm).
I tried e-mailing [email protected] again, but didn't get any answer.
Well, I really want this camera, so I searched amazon.com again. Bingo new camera, slightly different price, and another e-mail address. Tried e-mailing, and was suggested to use the katerini-escrow.com. SAME SITE AS escrow-id.com. The new "woman", who mailed me from [email protected], said they changed their domain... now, would they do this, without informing their users? Also, I checked the e-mailaddress on katerini-escrow.com, and [email protected] appears to already have managed 19 transactions?!? On a brand new site? I thought this was very suspicious, and searched google for escrow-id and found the previous mentioned record... Man, I feel stupid, as I almost went for it, but happily I didn't.
