Escrow, This is a scamm

This is a scamm. I didn't send any money... but I wanted to... the following are the email exchanges between Mr. Green :) and myself... it took a few days but I checked on the web and gave Mr. Green (punk) a chance to prove himself... I still want the car... if he would have had a second company set up I might have sent him some money... My wife really wanted that car... If it is to good to be true... but I still want that CR-V for less then $6000 (punk)

Hi,
I'm Victor Green, you inquired about my 2005 Honda CR-V SE (VIN: SHSRD78995U328221).
I apologize for the delay, I'm in the military and now I am in United Kingdom and that's why I couldn't reply in time. If you are still interested in buying it, I'm asking $5, 680. It has a clean title, very well maintained, always garage kept, no rust, excellent condition, runs and sounds 100% perfect with no leaks or noises. All power and optional equipments are working perfect. I have to sell this car as fast as I can because in three weeks I will be in Iraq and I think I'll stay there for a while that's why I'm selling it so cheap. I intend to buy a new car when I'll get back home. If you want to buy the car, I can ship for free within US with one of our military airplanes so you don't have to worry about the distance. If you are interested we can use a third party escrow broker, Moneybookers (http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl? s=escrow), to secure the transaction and to handle this whole process for us. Using a reputable E-Commerce third party escrow company will secure the transaction and you will receive the car before I'll get paid and of course I'm also covered because the funds will be kept safety into the escrow account. This is the best way for me even if I'll have to pay some extra money for their services. I'll cover the broker's fee and like I've explained, the shipping will be free because I can use one of our airplanes here and I don't have to pay anything. Let me know if you are interested. You can see some pics on the following link from my personal page:
You'll love the car, I can guarantee you that!

where is the car located at this time? can I see it before I buy it? Greg

The car is here with me at the base, in UK.The title is clear. The car is in showroom condition and it has not been involved in any accidents. It is paid in full and all you have to pay is the price of the car. You will have 7 days to test it and inspect it. It will come with the title, bill of sale signed by me and all the papers that you need to register under your name. The shipping process can take up to 4-5 days. If you want to buy it please email me your full name and address and I will contact Moneybookers. They will contact you with all the informations that you need to complete this deal.

Best Regards, Victor

H Victor, sounds good but I would rather use Escrow.com. If this is OK we can start today... Greg

I will only use Moneybookers. Don't take it personally, but I am tired with people who offer to buy my car and in the end they turn out to be scammers.

Victor

Hi Victor, how is using a different Escrow company being a scammer? I am trying to protect myself... If you want to sell the car today take a few minutes and find a company we both agree on it doesn't have to be www.escrow.com give me three or four to choose from and we can get started... check it out...

False Escrow Services

Users should be aware of fraudulent escrow services that are currently operating on classified sites across the internet.

A legitimate escrow service is a company which holds money during a purchase until the goods are received by the buyer. When the buyer has accepted the delivery, escrow pays the seller.

However, fraudulent escrow services are operating which appear legitimate but are run by fake "sellers" resulting in the buyer losing their money and never receiving their goods. The "sellers" place false adverts for products with an unusually low price to grab the buyer's attention. When the buyer inquires they are sent a standard reply, which often states that they will pay the shipping costs and suggests using a particular escrow service that the seller has used on a number of occasions.

The escrow site may feature false license numbers, logos and Copyright details which make the site appear genuine. It may also include a phone number disguised as a foreign land line. However, after money has been sent to these false sites or sent to the "seller" on the request of the escrow site the buyer will have no fixed details and cannot be traced. Any email used will be free and web-based and therefore untraceable and mobile numbers will be changed.
