During a visit to the Tyburn House Sizzler pub we a group of four were left very disappointed.
The first meal we ordered was an ALL AMERICAN COMBO R £6.99. Half rack of BBQ glazed pork ribs, southern fried chicken fillets, corn on the cob and onion rings*.Served with seasoned chips and half a grilled tomato.
The problem with this meal was it did not come out sizzling like advertised on your adverts and also instead of having the seasoned chips this person swapped that for a side salad witch came out without any salad dressing on.
The second person in our group ordered a MIXED GRILL R £6.49.I4oz steak, 4oz gammon steak, chicken breast and 2 Cumberland sausages. Served with seasoned chips, fried onions and half a grilled tomato.
The problem with this meal was again it did not come out sizzling and also the two Cumberland sausages came out under cooked and when cut in half they were still pink and raw inside. We instantly complained about this and all the waitress did was take this meal away and got the chef to cook some more sausages which may I add were still a little undercooked the second time and the rest of the meat on the plate was put in the microwave and warmed up and you could tell this as the meat’s were all hard to cut into and were very very dry which left the meal very unappealing. Also this meal came without fried onions and when we asked about the onions the reply we got was oh sorry we had run out. So we were made to pay first and not told you did not have this item of food in the kitchen to serve.
The third person in our group ordered a NEW INDIAN COMBO £8.29
Sizzling Chicken Tandoori and Tikka pieces in succulent sauces, lamb shish kebab, onion bhaji, spinach pakora, and vegetable samosa. Served with pilau rice, naan bread and mango chutney.
The problem with this meal was there were a number of items missing. When this meal was bought to the table it was not sizzling and also the meal only consisted of a small portion of pilau rice, one small naan bread and a few little tikka pieces and one lamb shish kebab. When I asked the waitress again were was the rest of this meal she replied with the same answer as she gave for the mixed grill sorry we don’t have these in stock in the kitchen. So basically I was made to pay first for a meal which had 5 items missing and also the lamb shish kebab tasted off and was under cooked in the middle. Why on ordering these items was I not told you did not have them in stock? And the portion that came out on the non sizzle plate well let’s just say I could have gone to farmfoods and paid a pound for curry and rice and got more.
The forth and final person of our group ordered 10OZ RIB-EYE STEAK £8.99 Served with seasoned chips, fried onions and half a grilled tomato.
The problem with this meal, again it came out not sizzling and with out any fried onions. Again when asked about the onions, you guessed it they had none in stock.
After complaining about these meals the reason we got back from the manager was “oh sorry there’s only one chef in the kitchen” an also when asked what they were going to do about the inconvenience to our meals which we had paid an altogether sum £30.76 excluding drinks the reply we had off the manager was “oh you can have one free desert but it CANT be the £4.99 mega sundae.
We left this establishment which we have used for well over 12 month’s bitterly disappointed and still hungry. We will definitely not be using this sizzler pub again in the future.
