I want to report a company that goes by the name distributors worldwide limited. The address they provided which may or may not be valid is room 15 1st. floor, york house empire way, wembley middlesex, HA9 9JZ, UK. The phone number they gave was 447024065660, and fax 448704712609.
The person I have been corresponding with is Karl Roy. This guy first contacted me as a result of my posting on trade sites looking for a wholesale playstation 3 system. This Karl person claimed to be a company manager and told me they had the item for the price of US$340 each but they only took wire transfer payments. Many overseas companies claim they only take this method of payment to protect themselves from fraudulent buyers.
Against my better judgment I agreed to buy 3 units. Karl emailed me back saying they only took money gram. I wrote him back saying i could pay by bank wire but not money gram. He wrote back claiming that they had been cheated before by someone who paid by bank transfer and besides money gram would be faster so they could ship my order immediately. Again, against my better judgement I decided to compromise with him because I too had been cheated before and knew how it felt. So I told him I would buy one PS3 and pay by money gram to test the waters and if all went well I would buy more.
I normally would never pay someone I did not know by money gram but this guy was such a convincing liar assuring me the whole time that he was legitimate. A couple of hours after I made the money gram payment for $340 he sent me another email claiming his supposed boss was upset with him and would not allow him to ship just one unit and advised me to go ahead and pay for the other 2 units I had initially ordered. He claimed his boss told him to offer me a refund if I did not want to buy the other 2 units. My gut told me right away I was being scammed.
I emailed him back and told him there was no way I was going to buy anything else from him and to give me a refund. He wrote back claiming he would send a refund Monday (today) by money gram. Still no refund. I have tried contacting him again to no avail. I tried calling the phone number given to me but kept getting an error message. The number is most likey fake.
People like this disgust me. They have no morals, no integrity. I know the odds of getting my money back are slim to none but I want this person stopped before he scams anyone else.
