16 Feb i purchased a B grade 5.8 ghz video sender, marked as in stock, i paid cash i was then told it was not in store and would arrive by midday the next day. Two days later i drove the 10 miles to the store in Hereford to find out where the goods were, i was then told they never come next day and would be with me soon, mean while my customer was giving me a hard time. The following Sunday still had not arrived so i drove to the Hereford store again, i finally found someone to ring up and try and trace the goods only to be told they have not had any for a while, after three trips thats 60 miles i gave in and said just re fund my money, no such luck they said that can only be done by head office, The following Tuesday a credit note arrived so i drove the 20 mile round trip again to get my money back with the note in tow, you guessed it cant do it here the credit note needs to go back to head office and a cheque raised. Over a ten year period i have spent tens of thousands of pounds with Maplins as technical director of a public listed company, guess whot no more maplins for me. O h by the way they still show the parts as in stock.
