EDF failed to close my account and send me the final bill, although I submitted the final meter readings online, and notified them on the phone of moving out. They contacted me 7 months later and want me to pay for the supply period which is outside of my tenancy agreement time, for the period when I no longer lived in the property. The asked me to send them a tenancy agreement, however they failed to calculate the energy consumption to the date when my tenancy ended. Now they are sending me contradicting information, and I never deal with the same person, the person that deals with my query always changes. It is very suspicious. I don't know if I should take them to Energy Ombudsman?
