Checked superb website of Partsplaza prior to order
Omer at Partsplaza couldnt have been more friendly and helpful and i ordered a FULLY RECONDITIONED ENGINE, unfortunately i paid for it, and goodbye Omer and friendly service.
although delivery date was extremely important the engine arrived a week late with no reasons or apologies.
The engine didnt look reconditioned, in fact some sort of mastic had been used to glue sump gasket on.
when first started it was clear engine had blown big ends
Omer told me to pay for removal of engine and they would collect it then send me another unit, i insisted they should be responsible for removal and refit as i had already paid my mechanic once
after much arguing Omer told me to get the vehicle to their workshops and another full reconditioned unit would be fitted labour free, but they would still charge me for oil, fuel filter and oil filters???
car delivered to Partsplaza 1150am, still untouched in car park at 17oopm
stayed overnight and spoke with management of Partsplaza following day, was assured car on ramps having another reconditioned unit fitted and it would be ready that day.
car not ready that day so another night b and b
following day arrived at Partsplaza and told by 2 different people car had different reconditioned engine fitted so started it and it was knocking at first startup
i lost it at this point and insisted they had bodged my engine and was assured by several members of staff a different engine had been fitted
imagine the looks on their faces when i lifted the bonnet and pointed out my name written on the rear of the engine??
i am dealing with this through consumer direct and have contacted watchdog, can only hope others affected do the same and PLEASE ALL CONTACT WATCHDOG and get this scam of a company sorted out
Their workshop is an absolute pigsty of a place and a HEALTH AND SAFETY DEATHTRAP
i was informed by a nameless member of staff that they get containers full of engines with no paperwork so they have no idea how much mileage each unit has, they just hope for the best, also told most of workers are illegal immigrants
if any health and safety, trading standards, police etc are reading this i would implore them to investigate this massive multinational company and look after the honest and law abiding tax payers of this country
