Not honouring the service they provide for thier customers

I had an accident in december whilst i was insured as i am self employed i need my vehicle for work and to earn money... it has taken a month for them to finaly sort out my claim, and get my van into the bodyshop for its repair and offer me a courtesy car that im entitled to... i missed a payment for my insurance this month and now they have said their not going to pay and ive had to pay for the courtessy car myself .. i offerd to pay them 6 days later as ive had to borrow money to do this and they would not re activate my insuranc... instead they want me to start a neww policy that is now without my 3 yrs no claims bonus and £1400 more expensive... as it stands my van is in a repair shop and nothing is being done... what are my rights and should they be responsable for fixing my van still and pay for my use of courtessy car as was the policy agreement at the time of the accident??? many thanks david
