I have just seen approximately five minutes of "Katy Brand's BIg Ass Show" screened on ITV 1 on 20th January and have been sickened by a sketch entitled "Jesus' girlfriend". Not only were parts of the bible being mocked by a Jesus who had no clue what he was about to speak on, but the sketch went on to say that Jesus had got his "girlfriend" pregnant, and then proceded to potray him as shirking on his responsibilities and suggesting abortion. How can they get away with such blatant disregard for people's moral, religious, social and spiritual feelings. I am appauled.
This is so unbelievably offensive on many levels- especially as the girl in question was exceptionally fat and ugly- I'm sure our Lord could do much better! I personally would like to see Katy Brand shipped to Saudi Arabia to do the same sketch about Mohammed- I might even consider paying for the trip as she would be off the air in the UK, probably stoned for blasphemy within minutes and end up face to face with the God she'd mocked. That sounds like a win win situation all round and a show that probably a good deal more people would enjoy watching!
