I purchased a 42" Samsung T.v in June (great t.v, but crap program menu) to find that 7 1/2 months later a big line appeared right down the middle. So I took it back to the store I purchased it from (as you do!), only to be rudely told that I could not have a replacement and that it needed to be looked at by an engineer. The FAT manager called me a liar in regards to the law (i'm a law student) and repeatedly avoided answering questions about the problem and product itself. The engineer took 5 days to appear, then they decided it could be fixed after 3 more days then sent for the part from abroad which took another week and a half. The part was finally fitted 3 days after the part had arrived, to which it then needed testing for 24 hours. This was now a week ago and I still have no TV! have they lost it? They don't even know where it is when I call the store and head office. All in all it has taken Comet 4 weeks, almost, to do just this! There after sale service is terrible! The way staff have spoken to me leads me to believe they don't care unless it boosts there commission, they have no sense of efficiency and really don't know much about what they are doing at all. They pose this professional show when you enter the store when purchasing, but once that sale has gone through the till your made to feel that any problem with the product you bought from them is your fault and they can mess you around as much as they like, changing there story each time you contact them, fobbing you off fits the bill more! I wont be purchasing any further products from here and neither will any of my family and friends. Comet has got too big for its own boots, Toyota springs to mind!!
