Virgin Trains
Ticket bookings

I have had problems with virgin trains for a long time, I do not have any other means of travelling to London though. For the last 4 years I have been travelling with their service, not once has the train been on time and on 3 occasions I have been delayed for at least 3 hours. I have complained to Virgin and I was sent travel vouchers, I tried to redeem these vouchers this morning (26th February). The train time I wanted to book showed available online but when I asked for that time over the phone I was told that the price was £30.00p, online it said £24.00p. When I asked why this was I was told it was no longer available, in the space of 2 minutes from looking online to ringing them up. I was also told that my bank card would be charged £1.00p for booking when on the back of the vouchers it clearly states that " You can use this voucher at any station or rail-appointed travel agent as full or part payments for travel services of the principle train companies(*), subject to any notes overleaf." I have looked at the letter and no where on the letter does it state that I would be charged for booking the tickets. I extremely angry and very upset with the Virgin train services. The last train I used them on Tuesday 21st February at 21.09pm, which didn't depart from Wigan North Western until 21.14pm. I was in coach B, the train stank and at least 2 of the toilets where closed that I am aware of.
