I travelled back from Australia to Heathrow and had to catch an onward flight to Newcastle. The time allowed by the flight center plan for my transfer was less than 2 hours. I first had to wait to get off the 500 seat plane then wait for my baggage to come off the airbus A380. Then it was the usual queues to get through customs. I then had to make my way to another terminal via the not very frequent internal rail link. Without stopping for drinks etc I got to the Newcastle check in 5 minutes too late. BA refused to let me check in. I was offered a flight later in the day back to Newcastle at an additional cost to me of? 129. I phoned Tom at the flight who said Dave Lister was off he could not help and recommended I should send a letter to Dave for a refund on the basis that there was just not time between planes. I booked for the flight home. It was unhelpful spending the day in a terminal after a long flight from Australia. I wrote to Dave Lister in early October but received no reply to my letter so I rang him and he promised to respond by the end of the month. No reply was forthcoming so and I have since sent another letter and guess what he has again not replied
