Disgraceful service when travelling with children!
I arrived at the airport to find out that my myself, husband and 2 children had been put on standby for our flight from Aberdeen to Paris. This was the first leg of a journey to SA with a connection of a couple of hours. I was told that I would have to go through security and wait at the gate to see if we were getting on the flight. Only when I insisted we had to be on that flight and threatened to get the local newspaper to the airport if we weren't, was anything done. Up until then I was told it was the computer system that had done it and they couldn't change it - funny they managed to when the press were getting involved! We then went through to the gate and expected to be able to board early as we had 2 children 1 only 23 month with us. No! We we were last to board as they didn't do a early boarding for children and we really struggled to get the children settled and find space for our luggage. On the next flight to Johannasberg (11 hr flight) we weren't given any food for our daughter as we seemingly should have requested it when we booked. When we asked what she was supposed to eat for breakfast we were told milk. We found thetheir attitude towards children appauling
