Have bought numerous prepaid phone cards to call internationally, usually for £5. The card claims hundreds of minutes to landlines, and less for mobiles. The truth is they give you around 1/5th the time they state. Furthermore, if you use a few minutes and then try to use the card a week later, the card has become redundant- claims that there is no more credit, which is IMPOSSIBLE as I have only used about 12 minutes, even when the card states that it will expire between 30-90 days from first use (depending on company). This is a scam and is an illegal operation. How the Office Of Fair Trading has not done something about it, let alone been notified by now I don't know. This has been going on for YEARS!
