Promises without implementation
I purchased a Tom Tom Live GPS with 1 year live services subscription on 12? August 2013.The very next day I went on holiday and discovered that the GPS had a software issue. I returned 2 weeks later from holiday (after being lost in South Africa without a GPS) and submitted the faulty GPS to Makro for repair. As this was after the 14 day return period I had to book the GPS in to be fixed. 2 weeks later I received a call that the GPS is fixed and ready for collection. One week prior to receiving this phone call, I phoned Tony to explain my situation and asked whether the Live services can be reset as I had no benefit for one month. He very willingly agreed and told me that the GPS with the live service reset to 12 month will be given to me upon collection. Prior to picking up the GPS I phoned Makro to confirm everything is in order; Makro confirmed. I picked up the GPS and again asked the gentleman at the counter whether the GPS is reset; he confirmed. I got into my car drove away, switch on the GPS just to discover that the services was indeed not reset and the start date for the live services was the original purchase date.
