Myself and my friend found aplus entertainment on the internet to do a 6th and an 8th birthday party. We phoned up and booked the disco for the date we needed, and gave a 50 pound deposit over the phone. My friend gave him my e-mail address and he said he would send out a confirmation letter reguarding all the details, which was never sent.

When the confirmation letter was not on my e-mail, my friend tried ringing aplus entertainment, but she could not get through that day. This was the same for the next few days when eventually she got through. He made an excuse of 'having a problem with his filing system!! ', and would send the confirmation letter to my e-mail address.

I never got that confirmation letter so I myself phoned him, and I could not get through. All it did was ring and ring. I e-mailed him saying we did not want his services as we did not receive an confirmation letter etc. He replied back saying he was taking us to court for not paying him the full amount even though we gave him three weeks notice. We lost our 50 pound but thank fully our children had a good DJ which we could get hold of!
