After I received an overdraft notice from my bank I contacted the bank and they said that a company located in Great Britain named "JP MEDIA LTD" charged my debit card $299. I never authorized JP Media Ltd. to charge my account anything whatsoever. In fact, I had never even heard of JP Media Ltd. before this incident occurred. The bank has agreed to provisionally restore the funds to my account while they investigate the matter. A Google search turned up at least a dozen similar complaints about this same company. Apparently they operate by using stolen credit/debit card numbers to make unauthorized charges to people's accounts. Needless to say I will be providing my bank with a list of other reports of persons who have been ripped off by JP Media Ltd!
