I purchased a web hosting/domain package from fasthosts. I set up a site and ran it for a time until I no longer needed it. I tried to end the subscription but once I did I received a very threatening letter from them stating I owed five pounds!
LOL and for owing this I would have bailffs around, I would have debt collectors after me. I told them I would pay, sent a cheque and thought that was the end of it. OH NO! They sent back the cheque sayin I now owed them 22 pounds. I refused to pay this saying they were inventing charges, but they insisted they always told me it was 22 pounds. I sent a cheque for this as well, which was sent back, same reason - it was the wrong amount. It had gone up to 34 pounds now, LOL.
Now I got really angry on the phone at Joseph - who was rude, angry, aggressive and very nasty. HOW YOU GONNA PAY he said, CHEQUE OR CARD, I said no, CHEQUE OR CARD he said, I put my husband on, CHEQUE OR CARD CHEQUE OR CARD. My husband would have killed him if he had been there! SO arrogant. I refused and have had letters and emails for more than a year going on about failure to take payment.
I advise you NEVER deal with these people.
