I was trying to access an old HDD and couldn't get my computer to recognize it even though you could hear it spin up. I called a data recovery company only to find it was too expensive. I searched for a software program and found a data recovery program at Systools. I downloaded the demo version and it didn't work. I contacted Systools via chat as they don't give any phone number. I was told to purchase the program which would include support and it was guaranteed to work or my money back and that I had nothing to lose.
I explained what I was trying to do and was told don't worry it's guaranteed. I purchased it and tech support tried to connect and couldn't. I canceled it and asked for a refund. While on Paypal site in their dispute room chat they asked to access my computer and I let them. After trying the tech said there was no software in the world that would connect to my drive. I said fine I want a refund. It has been almost a week and despite numerics emails I hear nothing back from them.
I though buying through PayPal was safe only to find they will not get involved and say they have nothing to do with it. I am going to refer it to a Sacramento TV station which helps consumers who have been screwed. Just warning everyone that Systools word will not get you the refund they promise you.
