I bought an in-car charger for my Tom Tom on 23rd October. When I asked what my options are if the producy doesn't work (as the Manager had doubts), I was issued with an invoice and welcomed to go back to the store if I had any issues.
On the second use the mini USB (which goes into the Tom Tom) fell apart from the main chord in a manner that was beyond repair. I took the part, and my invoice and went back to the store and spoke to the manager who served me the first time. He dismissed me immediately saying it was physical damage and implied that the fault had been forced by me! I proceeded to assure him that I have better things to do than sit around damaging products around my house and car but he would not budge but insisted that I purchase another cable to replace the faulty one. I, of course, refused to do so both because my invoice showed the product was bought less than a year ago, and also because he had offered to help if anything had gone wrong when I first made my purchase.
It is not a matter of money but principle. The store and the Manager were entirely unhelpful and went as far as to say I was taking them for granted!
This is unacceptable!!
