Seating problem

On 10th march i boarded the flight EK385 from Bangkok-Dubai having booked Business class flights for my Husband and myself.

When we took our seats the steward explained that the tv would not work as had a fault, this was not really a problem to us as it was 1am so sleep was more of a priority.

When we took off and were told we could unfasten seat belts i was ready to sleep so tried to recline my seat to bed mode.

The seat would not move so i asked the steward to help me and he explained the seat was faulty and would not lie-down, i asked for us both to be moved to be told that there was only one seat available in business class.

This would not have been a problem but on this occasion we wanted to be seated together. This is why i had booked business class and paid the extra money for comfort and to be assured a sleep.

It was the anniversary of our sons death and an emotional time for us, we wanted to be together. I got upset at this point and went to the toilet to sort myself out and regain composure. I was told the toilets were broken, there was no water and i would have to use economy class toilets further back in the plane.

I did not want a fuss and certainly did not want other passengers to see i was very upset at this point.

The steward then managed to get my seat into lie down position so i could eventually lie down and sleep.

When i was woken for breakfast and handed my in flight meal i couldn't sit my seat up, so had to sit as if on a bed to try to eat my food and drink my drink,

This was all unacceptable and embarrassing to both of us and made our hard enough flight a horrible experience, the steward made it quite clear that it was unacceptable and that we were to write to yourselves to air our complaints.

I really hope you can understand our situation and that you will compensate for our unacceptable and expensive experience and more importantly highly upsetting.

Our flight was EK 385. my frequent flyer no is EK115919963/blue.

We flew from Bangkok-Dubai-Glasgow on 10th march. Seat Buisness 07E

I would appreciate if you could look into this problem on that plane and accept my complaint as acceptable and valid as the steward had stated.
