This is a warning to any one intending to make use of an NCP carpark, particularly in Central London. NCP has decided to make all its London car parks "un-manned" (in an effort to cut costs). These places are now a thieves' paradise and break-ins are now a daily occurrence. I left my car in the Carrington Street NCP on Thursday 6 March on the top floor where it is in the open and overlooked by offices and flats. I was gone for 90 minutes and on my return found the driver's window smashed and my in-car ipod gone from the centre console (it was totally hidden from view). The police were called - no interest, but they informed me that this was a daily occurrence in that car park and most other NCP facilities since they became "un-manned". I waited 10 minutes for an NCP representative to come. He took the details and swept up the glass and comiserated and let me out of the car park. I had already paid 13 before returning to my car. I rang NCP to complain and ask for a refund. No interest. There are no warnings of such a high risk of break-in at any of the car parks that I have seen. It is clear that NCP is simply a vehilce for ripping off customers whilst finding every which way to cut costs at the expense of customer safety and convenience. If you can possibly avoid parking in any London NCP I urge you to do so.
