I've had £350 taken out of my account fraudulently by The Lending Group. I was advised to provide my debit card details - so that the TLG can confirm I have an active account, I queried this request as being dubious, but stupidly gave my details assuming that the online loan application I had filled out would not pass my details on to any third party that was not regulated by the FSA (did not apply directly via TLG site, my details were passed on to TLG). Its now been seven weeks since I requested for a refund as I had not authorised the payment, but its proving to be a waste of time. I have to wait until 8 weeks are up before the financial ombudsman will investigate.
