Dear Sir or Madam,
I have recently requested a trial bottle of Extreme Acai berry. I have received this and though nothing of it. About 7 days ago, I received a second bottle that I did not order. I am unable to find the original website that I ordered the trial bottle from to check if I had to cancel within a specific time period to prevent a second bottle from being sent and paying the full price. This is not my concern. I will simply cancel my debit card to stop all future payments.
Since placing my order I have started to receive unsolicited e mails from American companies claiming that I can earn thousands of dollars a day. I have not contacted these companies. What they are sending is S.P.A.M.
This is recognised as a computer crime world wide. The only way that they could have obtained my e mail address is through the company selling my e mail or the server/webmaster passing it on without the original company knowing.
Most of the companies that send these e mails have an option to ‘unsubscribe‘. This is done by way of a link supplied in the e mail.
Yesterday I received yet another e mail and tried to ‘unsubscribe’ using the link given. This was where my problem started. This took me straight to a very explicit porn site. Each and every time I tried to exit the site it took me to another. I tried for 2 hours to exit all the site without success. I tried turning the computer off at the power source yet when the computer started up it returned automatically to the sites. I have had to enter my computer via DOS to reboot the system and will have to give my computer to an engineer to try and clear the memory.
I will be passing this letter on with all the details that I obtained from the sites to our computer crime desk at the Police station where I work. I will be asking for a complete investigation into what has happened which I have no doubt will lead to enquiries with the company.
Regards
Steve Randall
