I booked my flight with Opodo on the 18th of August. The automated confirmation sent to me said to contact them if I don't have the tickets within 3-5 working days.
I send them an email saying that I haven't got my tickets yet, but they have blacklisted my email address. I sent them new email from my work email address.
After a series of 5 emails with 3 different employees, the stopped replying to me. I called them and they said that their ticketing department is looking to my problem and they will call me back.
The same sort of phone call took place 5-6 times. They couldn't tell me if the tickets were sent, because an airline was responsible for sending out the tickets.
I called the airline and they told me that Opodo is responsible for sending the tickets.
Finally, the response from their ticketing department was that the tickets were lost. That I have to purchase a new one and try to get a refund for the old one, which could take up to one year.
I mentioned this to a friend of mine and he was very suprized, because the same thing happened exactly to him. He also advised my that if I want to make it to my destination I should get a new flight, because he never really made it to this flight and after 4 months he still hasn't received any info or refund.
It is very sad that an organization has literally stolen from me and there is nothing I can do about it. I feel hopeless with the idea that can happen again and it has already happened to many individuals.
