Spent 30 hours reasearching sites to host a domain name (losmoonlights.com) and website for the popular Los Moonlight's Band and Fraga Music of Mexico, their producer, who reps quality jazz and classical bands for past 40 years. Very Classy.

Attracted to Tinyhosts.com because of pricing. We have 10 CD music projects to complete this year with CDs and were to set them up at one host. Expanding next year to double that.

Went online and applied for Domain Name losmoonlights.com at Tinyhosts.com. Spent next 10 hours setting up web pages for new site domain. Started having problems accessing pages and when I checked my PayPal Acct, noticed series of transactions with Tinyhosts.com. My Tinyhosts account subscription was cancelled without notice; my money being refunded but held in suspense for several days, denying me use of that money. No notice from tinyhosts prior to this drastic action.

Checked email; saw nothing from Tinyhosts about sudden deletion of new account. Emailed John Jones at Tinyhosts.com, asking why he didn't email me first, if there was a problem with the account application. He replied acct had been deleted because of no address/phone number.

I explained that his web site was unclear as to what personal info was collected or how it was used, so, I did not want my personal info 'on the net' so I put TBD (To Be Determined) on the address line while we find a secure post office mailing address to use for the site. I included a valid email address that tinyhosts.com could have used if they were more customer service oriented, to contact me, but they just 'rushed to judgement' anyway.

I've used same methods of 'minimal personal info' on online applications for years... as long as the secure credit card info and credit card address/PayPal records are up to date, noone usually has a problem with this. If an online vendor has problems, the good ones call or email first, before making ASSumptions or before wiping out accounts.

The Attitude of John Jones' email was controlling and bitter. IMO, he lacks good customer service skills when things do not go 'the way he wants them to'.

I went back online and set up a 2nd account at tinyhosts.com.

This time I made sure Specific Instructions were included to the effect that a Mailing Address was being set up. I also sent email notifying John that I'd be willing to provide full name, address, etc. if they guarantee that personal info was NOT kept online. At this point, I thought we had an open email line of communication! But I didn't know that John Jones had stopped listening. He only wanted to believe what he wanted to believe.
What I had to say did not matter to him. Very closed minded.

While processing the 2nd account, I received a nasty email, accusing me of 'fraud' telling me that the 2nd account has also been deleted. Obviously, John Jones was too hasty to kill the account without reading my email addressing his concerns about my contact info or the Specific Instructions I included with the Second Account Application. Here's the email he sent me:

Subject: Re: I see you have placed yet another order for hosting
Mr J XXXXXXXX

I see you have placed yet another order for hosting
You still refuse your name
You still give no valid address
Your telephone number is invalid according to our validity checks

Your business is not welcome here at tinyhosts.com and I suggest you go find some other host willing to host your fraudulant activities.

Your second account has now been deleted.

John Jones

Nice of John, huh!?!! Great bedside manner, eh? He just ignores the fact that we had an email dialogue going and that I had in fact, been addressing his needs and concerns, openly and honestly. Yet, he just wants to remain ignorant and spiteful.

Prior to this email, I had offered to send full set of info if they would tell me what info goes to whois domain registration databases (available to the public) and what info does not.

Now he refuses to answer any email to resolve the matter or honor my email request for their phone number to discuss the matter.

Well, I checked whois for Tinyhosts.com and discovered that they don't even have accurate contact info on their own domain name registration whois records... go figure! Then I checked the internet and found someone named 'tinyhosts' (probably John Jones) posted email in a WebHost Forum demanding some other software service person (that tried to help him set up PHP) 'think and admit they were WRONG'. Kettle calling the frying pan black...

John Jones needs to check his attitude and he, himself, needs to slow down, think and admit when he is wrong.

Most world class businesses stop, think and contact customers before deleting accounts based on mere suspicions. He had an open line of communication with me via email and yet, killed two accounts without checking or verifying the info submitted, up front.

The irony is I'm a former legal investigator. Used to help victims chase down fraud guys... and here John Jones has falsely accused me, who would have been a lucrative customer, of fraud, just because I had reservations about sending personal info on the internet. It was like he was 'happy' as he drove away my good business.

I've had long term, 100% positive feedback accounts at eBay, PayPal and my Visa Card is totally valid, current, etc. so, maybe he thought I was someone else. He never bothered to email me back or apologize for his irrational, mean spirited, anti-customer service behavior.

I suggest to all that you pay a little more for hosting and avoid bad acting businesses like what John Jones has demonstrated with his ugly representation of Tinyhosts.com

I generally admit when I am wrong and take steps to correct harm that I cause to others when I am ignorant or wrong. That's what being an honorable man is all about. John Jones needs to step up to the plate and be an 'honorable business man' instead of being such a time wasting jerk.
