The way this scam works is all in the small print. They sell telephone numbers on an annual contract paid one year in advance. They also require one months notice of termination of contract. No problems so far... but what they do is send out the invoices each year with just two weeks to go - ie. too late! - Not giving you time to consider the contract before being charged for yet another whole year, whether you want it or not.
There's nothing illegal about the way they are doing this because it's all hidden in the small print - but it's a dirty trick and leaves a bad smell.
You have to remember to cancel the contract 11 months after each payment, if you forget, tough luck they'll charge you for another year... etc etc etc.
Why not send out the invoices before the termination period ends, ie 45 days before payment is due? - I'll tell you why, because it's a scam!
