Dorset Modified
DorsetModified.com internet clubs & organizations with regards to liable law

After a particular member caused trouble and was banned, she continued to re-register before being banned. From this abuse was directed at adminitrators who run and create events for the local public to enjoy.

She created a new site in the area which we had no problem with until, a few things seemed a little familure.

Our former name: Bournemouth Modified
Their new name: Dorset Modified

Our slogan: "Bringing Cruise Sites Together"
Their slogan: "Bringing Likeminded People Closer Together"

Also we have been accused of 'physically' changing files to muck their site up, which none of our staff members have anything to do with, as we're not administrators for their site. I have told this indervidual to go to her server hosting company to run and IP check to see once again if this is more lies which is boarding on 'harrasment'.

As mentioned before we run events for paying public and all these romours, plus falsifying statements of our site on theirs to the public and contant word of mouth are possibly in risk of corrupting our numbers at events.

I have spoken to a few friends in the law industry and they have said this DOES come under liable law which states;

In law, defamation (also called vilification, slander, and libel) is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressively stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. Slander refers to a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images.

Now this is the bit i would like more information on;

Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public disclosure of private facts which arises where one person reveals information which is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person.
