I was offered employment by Phillips Consulting who claims to represent Shell the gas and Exploration Company. I received a series of emails from Mr. Rowlands and Floyd Chandler who claimed to be a HR manager and Attorney for Phillips Consulting. They requested information from me in the form of a Visa application that as you know asks very personal questions like social security numbers and date of births of me and my family to include my children, they asked for copies of blood work showing I didn't carry Hepatitiss or anything and they requested I get travelers insurance this all seemed so professional and necessary for the process of work in the UK with Shell Gas and Exploration in Aberdeen Scotland. When it came time for the work Visa application dues as they called them they requested an excess amount of 2900.00 to process the work Visa and went to the extent of sending me an email and made it seem as though it came directly from the British Embassy.
I didn't feel comfortable with this and I began to research the companies these two gentlemen claimed to represent. Needless to say all the phone numbers they gave me were non-working lines and the web sites which I will include on this report claim to have no knowledge of any such individuals. I immediately called Shell directly and was directed to a notice on their web site that states they DO NOT EVER request any monies from an applicant at any point to include the hiring process. I continued to research this situation and came across a report from the FBI and the 4 1 9 Fraud alert as it is sometimes referred to. Please be very weary of such offers they have left me and my family in a vulnerable situation as they have all our personal information on file and I am unsure what can be done with it. Below you will find a list of names they claim are their companies and web sites some do belong to them however they are just a front and are very misleading. I am placing this information online in hopes that I may help others to stay clear of these organizations and people.

Dear Mr.,
Sequel to your email, I am mandated by your employer to guide you
in the processing of your UK work permit, for the employment offered you.
A work permit relates to a specific individual, for a specific
job and for a specific length of time. The maximum period for which a
work permit can be valid is five years though this is likely to be the
exception. If you arrive in the UK on a visitor Visa, any application
filed on your behalf, in a bid to have you work legitimately in the UK
will be out-rightly refused by the immigration officer. Therefore, you
cannot switch from a visit visa to work permit. Your work permit once
approved will be will issued to you, and also will be sent to your
employer and the British Embassy in your locality so that you will be
officially invited for your visa issuance.
Find attached to the mail the GATSA forms to enable you fill out
some necessary information about you as required by the British Home
Office, for work permit issuance. Complete the form and send along with
these documents (via fax or email attachment). The documents to send
along side the filled GATSA forms include:
(A) Scanned copies of your College/University/Technical Certificates.
(B) Medical reports based on medical tests (HIV and HEPATITIS B tests
are to be taken) from a reputable medical services provider.
(C) A letter of acceptance of job offered, to be written by you. Do
include the company's name (your employer company's name), offered
position, your full name and signatory.
(D) A TRAVEL INSURANCE certificate from any Insurance of your choice
(duration is One year).
These requested documents will facilitate the prompt approval of
your work permit application as shall be filed on your behalf once
I receive them as requested. So please make them available to me in
