My botfriend and I had both quit our jobs and he was looking for something fast. We signed him up for all the job sites.
We got an email that said he found his resume on one of the job search sites (we were new to the internet job search and thought only actual companies were given access to these). He offered a job cashing checks and sending money. We agreed, hoping for the best (we needed money NOW).
We kept the designated 10% and were making decent money for a couple weeks until one the checks came back counterfeit. We stopped then, but we then found out they were all counterfeit and now we owe the bank over $15, 000. Also, since the checks were made out to my boyfriend, his name is on them and he could be liable.
The only information I have on this guy is his email addresses ([email protected], [email protected]) and the name of his so-called company (simplicity enterprise ltd). He has not responded to our emails (not that we really expected him to).
We found out after this happened that apparently there many different people trying to pull this type of scam (we get emails all the time still).
