I quick thank you to all who have written in about cobra group. i went for an interview last week and was really excited but slightly wary. everyone was so friendly and posotive. the music in the reception was so loud i had to strain to hear what the girls were saying. i was interviewed in a group of 3 which i thought was weird but when ur looking for a job u only see the good points.
anyway, being with 2 others makes you very self concious and so of course u only ask questions which will make u look good, not 'erm..what do you actually do? '
needless to say all 3 of us were called bac for an observation day. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!! it wasnt till we got into the car that he said what we were doing! door to door sales. of course i got the job, so did the other recruits. my first reaction was shit but after he made a few sales i was quite impressed. when i asked on average how many sales a day he made he said between 2 and 6. well, 2 a day is no money whilst 6 a day is a shit load!!! so anyway when we all got back into the car, (9 in central london, i was told i would be home by then) i asked the other guys how many sales they made. i was told the did not talk about how many sales theymade, weird coz if that was me id be boasting my head off.
when i finally got home after the interview i was so happy, really proud i had pulled it off. of course it all came crashing down when i told my partner. door to door in aarea i didnt know with only a tweeby 20 yr old a couple of streets down as back up! how dangerous!!! no basic- sale only. egistered as self empleyed so they dont pay ur tax or ni for you. no wonder they think they're making shit loads of money!! do they actually know??? finally he sat me down in front of my laptop and pulled up this site. it makes me sick reading all these reports and feel so lucky that i did it before starting. i rung them up the next morning and the usual happy, friendly receptionist was so rude and bitchy i found myself sograteful to my partner for being my rock and acually seeing the company what it was for, not me who was quite willing to give it a go and didnt see them for what they really were.
although my experience only lasted 4 days i was so close to being sucked in. my advice. look at it for what it really is!!! SXXT!
